History

Coval’s history dates back to the late 80s, when its founder Mr.Jean Pierre Gériniére a mechanical engineer from the south-east of France started offering vacuum automation services. 

Major events during the past 20 years which marked the development of COVAL: 

1995: Coval launches its first major innovation in the field of vacuum technology, GVP series compact vacuum pumps, thanks to its collaboration with research institute INSA 1997: With significant advances in research Coval launches first micro vacuum generators GVA & VR series. 

1998: Coval patents a new material Siton® for special suction cups known for high temperature resistance and abrasion.  

2001: Coval launches a new benchmark vacuum technology through GVMAX vacuum pump, dedicated to automotive. 

2002: Coval extends its services to Sheet metal, Wood handling and Construction industries by developing tailor made vacuum handling systems Vac’ easy and Vacuopal. 

2003: Mr. Michel cecchin becomes the New President along with Mr.Jerome vernet as Managing Director. A new vision “vacuum managers” and growth strategy focused on innovation is established. 

2004: Launch of new subsidiary in Spain, Coval Iberia 

2005: GEM-series, The Compact vacuum pump based on Twintech a patented technology of COVAL with intelligent functions, significant suction flow combined with silent technology is launched. 

2006: Introduction of Inline micro vacuum generators CIL. 

2007: Launch of new subsidiaries in the USA, ITALY and Brazil.
